Ivory Isle Brides: Cinda

Cinda and her husband Jesse recently got married with a beautiful wedding at a golf club in St. Louis Park, MN. We spoke with Cinda to find out about her experience of planning for her big day including her favorite part of the planning process, her experience working with us, and her wisdom for future brides.

How did you and your husband meet?

“I had recently gone through a break up and wasn’t dating. A friend of mine sent me a text asking if I wanted to meet a friend of hers. We met at a group gathering and then a first date.  I knew instantly he was worth getting to know.  We dated for a year and a half and he proposed on Valentine’s Day in Florida on a visit to his parent’s winter home. “

Where did you get married?

“Minneapolis Golf Club in St. Louis Park, MN.  We looked at a lot of places and just loved the look and feel of this one.  It was also affordable and easy to get to for our guests.”

What was your favorite part of the wedding planning process?

“Saying our vows, it felt intimate and it highlighted what it’s all about. I also liked when the dinner started, because the room was decorated so beautifully.”

What was your inspiration for your wedding stationery?

“I didn’t really have one. I saw some designs I liked using the light pinks, purples, and florals I wanted.  Josie helped me come up with designs that worked well.”

How did you find Ivory Isle Designs?

“I moved to Waconia, MN to be near Jesse and his son.  I wasn’t familiar with the area and did a google search and luckily found Ivory Isle which is located in Waconia.  I knew right away after speaking with Josie that she would help me with my invitation process. Having her so close was really nice.”

How was your experience working with us?

“I highly recommend Ivory Isle Designs. Whatever you want, Josie will create it for you.  She was creative, a good listener, and timely. She paid close attention to budget needs.  She was always cheerful and positive.”

On reflection, is there anything you might have done differently?

“Put less effort and worry into all the minor details.  Everything was over with so quickly that none of that mattered much.  I would also have researched and prepared more with the DJ.  We had a lot of problems with the music which was unfortunate.”

Do you have any words of wisdom for future brides?

“Enjoy the beauty of it all.  Don’t let minor worries interfere in your enjoyment of the day. Let go of perfectionism!”
